(ASCEND) Free 56K Hardware Swapout?
In the Aug 4, 1997, issue of CommunicationsWeek, in an article starting
on page 35, titled "Should You Make The Leap?" talking about 56K modem
technology there is a portion of the article on page 39 that states:
"One example of how frenetic the market is right now is Ascends's free
hardware swapout. Make the move before Aug. 30 and you can swap out your
old V.34 modems cards on any Ascend product for free."
Ascend, what's the story here. I'd expect to see something like this on
this list before I read it in a trade mag. Is this real or fiction?
