If you browse the repository you can find pages like this for the 
"opensuse" era;

Or this for the "suse" era;

http://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/discontinued/i386/

There are also Red Hat, etc, etc directories.

So basically, yes there are some very good old repositories around.
