I do have friends who do not know how to get places without a GPS, and they are pretty smart in other ways. But this particular thing they lack does scare me. Not sure where socialism comes into play. We are neither in a pure socialist or in a purce capitalist society. I do not know what it would be like to live in a pure form of either one, and that is preobably good for me... I do not know how you, Rick, are so sure about things that are so subjective. There is a quote from a philosopher, which I will paraphrase: "One problem with the world is that smart people are full of doubt, while the dumb ones are full of confidense." (I am not trying to imply anything.) I respect the UofM chemistry dept. I work with them, but outside of that, I have learned a lot from them, both when I took courses and when I did some research with them. Plus, Crammer's book is on my desk right now. As they say in a film: "Maybe, that's just,... like,... your opinion, man."
