This is off topic, Rick, but I will bite. I think you are not giving young people enough credit. There are many smart kids around. They are born in a world that offers them technological advances, and as a result, they have the opportunity (and most take it) to be smarter than I was when I was a kid. It is easy to know more. What is not easy is to learn things in depth, which still requires personal investment and effort in studies. The world is not getting worse because of tehc. I read literature about dystopian societies, and most recently I started painting cyberpunk landscapes, but I would absolutely hate to live in one!
