I've purchased a handful of refurbished desktops from NewEgg and
MicroCenter for that price range.  Supplies are limited and inventory
changes rather quickly.

Hardware specs for $160.00 at the time or purchase:
Core 2 Duo
2GB RAM
80GB HDD

They've had no problems running the past two LTS versions of Ubuntu,
Xubuntu or Kubuntu.
