Thanks.  I'm still on Debian.  I took Jason's advice and deselected
some things while installing.  The Debian system with everything
I need running on it has about 50 fewer tasks than my Fedora
server.  I'll keep Slackware, CentOS and some of the others in
mind if I decide not to use Debian.
