Oh dear, Ubuntu really needs to get their Dist Upgrade process figured out.


Can you still do ctrl + alt + f1 to bring up a command line terminal?

You might be able to get this to work


sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install --reinstall ubuntu-desktop
sudo apt-get install unity
