Portland Oregon is a huge open source center. The Open Source Development
Lab was in Beaverton just outside Portland until The Linux Foundation was
created and http://www.oscon.com/oscon2011 is still held in Portland. You
might want to talk to the guys on the http://www.pdxlinux.org/ mailing list.
They are one of the most active LUGs I have ever found.
