Oh, I am most definitely not a lawyer, but I know where the data restrictions are for the most part. The data retention and distribution laws impact government entities, lawyers, financial institutions, and health service providers and their contractors. Facebook is none of these things. Unless someone can come up with a law that does restrict them in any way the safe assumption is to assume that there is none, and behave accordingly.
