If it's still in the box newegg will no doubt let you return it.

But if this helps anyone, I have a motherboard that used to have that 
exact CPU in it, and I'm pretty sure that the CPU is what fried on there. 
It's an ABIT AN9 32x, has 8 gigs of RAM on it and if anyone wants to have 
it FOR FREE and try Wayne's CPU on it, let me know.

Man I have a lot of parts I don't need.
