Yes, someone on this list a couple of years ago recommended backuppc
to me, and I'm still using it.  It's very nice.  I'm thinking of
phasing it out and moving to CrashPlan (eliminates a server, that
maintenance, and $).  I setup CrashPlan for my mother's 2 PCs and it's
been working great for her.
