Anyone ever use rsync to propagate the sudoer file? I have the following in the rsyncd.conf file: [sudo] comment = AIX sudoer filer path = /home/das/aix/sudo outgoing chmod=Du+rwx,go-w,Fg-wx,o-rwx incoming chmod=Du+rwx,go-w,Fg-wx,o-rwx I run the following on the client side: rsync -avvz 192.168.84.83::sudo /etc What I need is the file to have the permissions of 440 what I get is 640 on the file and 770 on the directory /etc which really makes a mess of things.
