It would be best to split it in to two commands.

First purge old files
find /var/spool/MailScanner/quarentine -mtime +10 -type f -delete

Then purge any empty directories
find /var/spool/MailScanner/quarentine -mtime +10 -type d -delete

The second find will silently fail to remove any directory that still
has files in it which in this case is what you want.
