Once you get wireless working with your own APs, you should be set.

Every hotel, airport, and meeting AP that I have ever used just required
you to login by browser, and that always worked with whatever browser I
had on Linux.  Just try to load any outside web page, and you are
redirected to a login page. Once you are logged in surf, the web, ssh, or
do whatever else you please.
