I know it's still experimental but e17 (http://www3.get-e.org/). It's very 
fast - even on my 300Mhz IMac. And it looks pretty too. Similar to fluxbox 
in use.

Unfortunately the ebuilds have been pulled from the gentoo tree (if that's 
what distro you are using), I have the overlay if anyone wants it. You can 
probably find it online somewhere.
