I'm not sure about the encryption part for NFS (perhaps there is
a way to run ReiserFS over the net?) but, as a minimum, you could
run NFS in a secure net (think VPN) between the NAS device and clients.

What a strange and interesting box!  It's really hard to tell from
the various websites what the real vitality is of this thing... some
of the pages are 2 years old and some of the forum postings are recent.
Have you, or anyone you know, had experience with the Kurobox?

In this category I've been considering hacking the "SL" -- think
of the WRT54G + NSLU2 (retails for $129):

- 32 MB vs. 64 MB
- processor speed? vs. 200 Mhz
- USB 2.0 vs Internal and USB?
- 4 wired and 1 wireless interfaces vs. 1 wired?
