I tend to do backup/reformat/install from scratch upgrades no more often than every two years- they're just too disruptive. Before switching to Ubuntu, I was running redhat 9- and before that, redhat 7. I only tried the hoary->breezy switch because I thought it'd be easy- if I knew two days ago what I know now, I'd still be on hoary. At this point, Dapper simply ain't going to happen. Brian
