What chipset is your integrated sound?
You can do an lspci to find out.
If your chipset is supported in Linux then you should be able to get it
to work by manually configuring it.
Most Soundblaster Live cards are supported under Linux but I've seen
distributions recognizing them as a different type of card. In that case
it had to be manually configured.

So far, every distro I have installed will not find my Dell Optiplex,
integrated sound card. I need to do a dozen workstation installs of the
same box. I see that some people are using Soundblaster Live cards. Will
this card work for most Linux distros?
