No it can't, it is more like using XDM to login remotely through SSH with 
crazy compression.  The cool thing about it is that sessions can be 
suspended, unlike a normal X session.

One thing to note about the suspended sessions, from what I can tell the 
programs in the suspended sessions are not actually running.  It is more like 
suspend to disk on a laptop.
