it sounds like you shouldn't even have to build the boot-floppies
in order to replace the kernel. It sounds like if you follow
the directions at that link, it sounds like its a simpler process.
Though, as somebody else said, I wouldn't try to use a 2.4 kernel
with the potato boot-floppies.
