./configure runs without any issues. Below I've posted the output of 
make. It's
obvious from the error that there is an issue in the file dgdm_tty.c, and I've
tried to look at it, but I might as well be reading a newspaper in 
Athens. I no
make code go work.

FWIW I've fired off a note to Digi as well. I'm not sure if they are still
actively developing for this product or not.
