At the grub menu screen, move to the line you want to boot
Press "E" to edit that entry
At the command menu screen (usually 3 lines) move to the line starting with
    "kernel"
Press "E" to edit that line.
At the end of the line put a " 3" For runlevel 3.
Press Enter
Press "B" to boot that kernel.
