Not looking to backup Windows machines...thos backup via Veritas. The linux machine tars itself and dumps the tarfiles to the windows share so they can be backed up by backup exec. Veritas deals with locked files on the winders boxes. For Linux, it is what it is and what it is is better than nothing. Always room for improvment. :D -- Andrew S.
