I learned x86 out of a book, which taught me syntax and registers, etc. When I learned MIPS at the U, I learned a lot of techniques that the books really don't teach. It was almost night and day. I could see a definite change in the way I programmed assembler between the two architectures. Just little things that I never thought of, but make things much easier. I'm sure the same goes for any language. I don't write a lot of large programs, but I'm sure others on this list consider themselves professional programmers and can provide more insight. _______________________________________________ TCLUG Mailing List - Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota Help beta test TCLUG's potential new home: http://plone.mn-linux.org Got pictures for TCLUG?
