I've installed FC3 on my laptop (ThinkPad 600X), along with another OS from a uhm... major software vendor. Anyway, I did a desktop install because I want to write The C0m4l33t N00b's Guide to Installing Fc3 on the 600X, for both of the other people interested in such a thing. So I install using the first two CD's of four CD-RW discs I burned. Everything goes as expected. (Discs burned on a desktop machine. The 600X has a Toshiba DVD-ROM that seems to read CD-RW just fine.) I then log in, pop in CD1 and autorun it in order to add packages (like gcc et al). I select the packages, it starts to install, quickly asks for disc 2 and balks at it. It says it cannot read disc 2 even though I can browse it quite nicely thanks, right from the desktop. Any ideas on what's going wrong? Permissions? Any logs I should check? _______________________________________________ TCLUG Mailing List - Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota Help beta test TCLUG's potential new home: http://plone.mn-linux.org Got pictures for TCLUG?
