Well, my 5 year old daughter was complaining when the last Debian unstable upgrade I did broke KDE, but she didn't stop using the computer just because it was on fvwm. (KDE is fixed now, and she stopped complaining). It isn't the _kids_ that'll be the problem. The primary focus needs to be on training the teachers.
