Read

/etc/sysconfig/syslog

and adjust it to allow remote
logging.

I am trying to log my pix error logs to my fedora box but logs are not
showing up.

In the Cisco pix I have done the following:

logging host outside (public IP)
logging timestamp
logging trap 4
logging on.

When you do a show logging the message count increases in size.

On my fedora box I have done the following:

mkdir /var/log/pix
touch pix.log

added the following to syslog.conf "local20.*
/var/log/pix/pix.log"

/etc/rc.d/init.d/syslog restart

The pix facility is 20

I have not added anything to iptables, but I stopped it for a minute to
see
if it made a difference and got the same results. Any ideas what am I
missing?

Raymond
