I've recently put into place a few different servers that use Hardware IDE Raid
Arrays (RAID5)with ext3 Fedora C1 and Fedora C2 boxes, (2.4 and 2.6 kernels) and
I've been getting some speed complaints. Is there a good way to load test this
kind of config? I know what the hdparm type tests show, but most of these
servers aren't ever heavily loaded cpu or memory wise. Moving a large set of
files will show the load avg. moving up, but I'd like to find the bottleneck.
(barring the physical network for now) I was planning on using a crossover cable
and an XP client of some kind. Ideas?

Thanks,

Chris
