I have a redhat 8.0 box that I'm setting up for some employees here to use for embedded linux development. One of the lead programmers requested that I install xterm so that he can do a remote X display. When I run xterm as root, it works fine - it displays correctly on my laptop, however, when run as a user, it displays for about a second and a half and then exits. There are no messages in the syslog to speak of. Any ideas?
