Might want to try a kernel >=2.4.22, thats when the Traven fixes went in.  
However I don't remember that particular drive being mentioned.

That should be right.

Does /dev/st0 exist? (type "ls -ld /dev/st0")

You can also try looking the through the stuff in /proc/scsi 
(or /proc/bus/scsi) and see whether it sees the device or not and what driver 
its trying to use.
