RedHat/Fedora ships a gcc32 RPM package. This provides a compatible
compiler to what is currently used to build the kernel. Once you
install the gcc32-3.2.3 package, assuming bash:

#export CC=gcc32
#vmware-config.pl

That'll take care of the warning and the modules should compile.
