While its true that most people buy their computer gear from
distributors, its incorrect to imply that graphics board makers that use
nVidia graphics chip sets are simply distributors.  Boards have to
designed, routed, memory, BIOS code, numerous other interface,
regulating, etc. components added, etc., etc., etc.  The GPU defines the
raw capabilites, but short cuts in memory and design can result in an
inferior card.  Check out web sites with graphics boards shoot outs.
Not all graphics boards with the same GPU are created equal.
