I'm running Fedora Core 2 updated as of yesterday, kernel rpm version 
2.6.7-1.494.2.2 and NVIDIA driver version 6111 without any (apparent) 
problems. I'd be happy to send you my xorg.conf if you think it would be of 
any help.
