Thanks Bob for the suggestion.  I get my IP dynamic from ATTBI.com - broadband but I added the entry to the hosts file.  Now it is saying that it is unable to determine the ip address of '66.41.58.51>'  I noticed the less than symbol.  I don't where that came from.  I use vi as an editor.

I copied the same format as the localhost entry.  

I am lost
any other thoughts

Try adding dhcp-112-156 and the right IP address to your /etc/hosts file.
