I am running Debian unstable on the 2.4.18-bf2.4 kernel (the bf2.4 from
my install CD) and I have a GeForce2 MX. I've never been able to get
NVIDIA's drivers to work. Apparently I'm missing a modversions.h file
in /usr/src/linux/include/linux that the drivers need in order to
compile the kernel interface. I have the bf2.4 kernel-headers installed
as well as the 2.4.18 kernel sources (not 2.4.18-bf2.4 because I
couldn't find it). I just can't figure out what to do that creates this
modversions.h file. Can someone help me?
