I posted a couple of weeks ago asking for help on getting started installing Linux on a new system. Well, it's working. I'm up and running with Mandrake 9.1 dual boot with my Windows machine. The Knoppix CD was very helpful, and I figured out all my existing hardware (a General Nanosys machine) was okay except the modem. I've got OpenOffice as the default for docs and spreadsheets in both environments. Thanks to everyone for helping me get started. It's appreciated.
