We've got several APC 500ES UPSs on our Linux File Servers with nut-4.45.4). The USB connection is working fine on my RH8.0 machine (Kernel 2.4.18-24.8.0), but I keep getting: hiddev open /dev/usb/hid/hiddev0: No such device on our RH7.1 (Kernel 2.4.2-2). It does appear in /proc/bus/usb/devices. Yes, I do have the device node defined for 180, 96. Anyone know when hid support started in 2.4? We're tied to RH7.1 for now because of our HPT 374 RAID drivers. How do you relate the port numbers in the devices table to the major/minor node numbers?
