How about just using the bounce feature in mutt?  You could just tag
them all and bounce them.  The keystrokes would be something like this:

T tclug-list
;b tclug-list at archives.reat-time.com

Now, I'm assuming by Maildir you mean a Qmail style maildir.  Not a
directory with many mbox files in it.
