I just tried changing from windows login to client for microsoft windows
where it prompts for username and password on the Windows machine when
starting up/logging on windows.  Still does the same thing.

I did an smbstatus, and get the following:


Samba version 2.2.0a
Service      uid      gid      pid     machine
----------------------------------------------

No locked files
