Well I'm not sure what goes on there but Both a Compaq Evo and an IBM
Netvista had this thing integrated, no go. I put an actual eepro card in the
slot on it worked. Load up windows,  the on board doesn't fly till you get
the drivers from mfg . Then device mangler calls it an Intel PRO 100 VE. Had
a similar instance with sb128pci on board sound vs. the card.  *shrug*
