I've got an obvious sort of problem upgrading: my /, /usr, and /var partitions are on RAID partitions, and when I boot from the 8.2 installation disks, naturally, the installation program doesn't see that. I've considered trying liveupdate, but, to be honest, I've had enough bad reports on that that it makes me nervous.
