Thank you to those of you who responded. I did try to find documentation from the system, but Suse 7.3 does things differently (for example, the man pages found with Konquerer are all blank,...) and I'm still having trouble understanding what I do find (how-to pages). I will try the books (O'Reilly, et al). Thanks again.
