It could be some sort of timing with ISA bus.

See in the BIOS if there is a 'SAFE' setting for ISA.

Otherise, make sure its not set to a port or irq that something else is
using, when that port is access, bam sound card goes down.

Sure do...I thought of that.  I guess I'm being lazy/cheap and trying to
work
with what I have first.  It's just sort of frustrating cause it works for a
while, then just randomly quits.
