Normally I'd accept this, but my Speedstream from Microcenter ($20 after
rebate) does it just fine.

I think the real solution here is to set up an internel DNS server and
point all the affected workstations to it.  I've set up BIND before and I
think that may be the best solution in this case.  I'll try the hosts file
again, but I tried it maybe a year ago when working with host headers and
it wouldn't work properly.  Keep in mind the workstations are all of a M$
variety and are significantly less intelligent :-).
