Radeon 8500s are supported for 2D acceleration; but no one has written the 3D stuff yet (docs are available; no one has gotten around to it yet). Geforces will work; some have digital outputs; and supposedly it's a pretty good driver. it's binary-only, tho; so when you upgrade your kernel, you have to dink with the NVidia packages. personally, I'm thinking about buying a Radeon 7500.
