I also looked at the driver webpage, but >IIRC, weren't people running into issues with the drivers? > I've experienced problems with XFree86 4, wherein if I have gpm running in console land, and then I start X up, the X server and gpm 'fight' over the pointer, causing serious craziness (pointer jumps to an edge/corner and starts throwing up context menus randomly).
