Thanks for the input back Kelly.  I was going to say it might be cause I had
used RTF on the message but figured that would make me sound to ignorant.  I
think that is the first time in a long time as I had been using plain text.
For some reason then I decided to turn on RTF.

I always thought RTF was some kind of a generic format that could be read by
most applications.  Did not realize it was MS.
