I'm running pure-ftpd on a server because wu is just too insecure for
me. Today I was showing some commands to my co-workers about server side
stuff and and I came across an interesting problem. I logged into my
server (as lxy):

ftp>remotehelp
200 Formatting man page...
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
root at ftp~:#

EEEKK!! I don't like to see root@ anything I admin!! It dropped my
session so I couldn't type but it appears it core dumped and gave me shell
access as root! That doesn't seem like a good thing. Is this a known
bug? Should I run down the street screaming?
