Hi all,
Is anyone aware of any support in perl or another scripting
language for hardware IO, BIOS commands or direct ATA access? I got this
link from securityfocus.com and now I've got DOS-envy. The general idea is
that through an ATA call a hard drive will pretend to be smaller than it
really is. Data could be hidden in the unused space and nothing except
another ATA call to undo the previous one will make the space accessible.
Of course, most forensics tools can't see the unallocated space either.
