I was intrigued by how many virtual hosts apache can have so I asked around. Credit for this goes to Daniel J. Cody of freedom2operate (http://f2o.org) : Apache used to be able to have 1024 virtual hosts, smallint. This was expanded to 32364 virtual hosts, largeint.
